Pilates and yoga load a garment differently from running. On a reformer the inner thigh is in constant contact with the carriage, so a flat seam is needed there; in a spinal roll the waistband rolls down unless it is high and double-layered; and in a forward fold the top rides up unless the back hem is extended.
